2023 Voters Guide for Denton City Council Election
Voting in City Council elections is one of the most important things residents can do to improve transportation options in Denton. The Denton City Council makes final decisions on:
How much funding goes to each transportation option;
How a street will be designed;
How each transportation mode is prioritized;
Policies that can provide improve safety and access to transportation options or further increase automobile dependency.
To help you determine who most closely aligns with your transportation priorities, Bike Denton sends a questionnaire to candidates each election to learn more about their positions on transportation.
All City of Denton residents are voting for someone to represent their district. Voters will have only have their district’s election on their ballot.

Voter Registration
To participate in the May 6th election, you must be registered to vote in the City of Denton by April 6th. To participate in early voting, register at least 30 days before the date you wish to vote.
Early Voting
Participating during early voting is typically recommended, because you can vote at any polling location in Denton County. On Election Day, you must vote at your assigned polling location.

Election Day
Election Day is on Saturday, May 6th, 7 AM - 7 PM.
You must vote at your assigned polling location on Election Day. Use the Voter Lookup tool on VoteDenton.gov to find your assigned polling location and preview your ballot.
