National Bike Month, established in 1956, is celebrated the entire month of May to highlight the many benefits of bicycling and to encourage more people to give it a try. Here’s how you can celebrate all month long in Denton.

Election Day - Denton Local Elections

Combine your civic duty with physical activity by biking to go vote.
Women’s Mountain Biking Day
Saturday, May 4, 10 a.m. - noon
Ladies are invited to join Denton Parks & Recreation staff at the Denton Mountain Bike Park.
National Ride a Bike Day
Sunday, May 5
Ride to a park, to church, to downtown, the grocery store, a friend’s house. Just #BikeThere.
Bike Month Proclamation
Tuesday, May 7 at 6:30 p.m.
Show your support for bicycling by attending the Bike Month proclamation at the beginning of the Denton City Council meeting.

May 13-19 is Bike to Work Week and May 17 is Bike to Work Day. Try biking to work…or taking your bike on public transportation!
Positive Cycology Ride
